I am about to fit a new dual fuel cooker.
The consumer unit is connected to the control unit and then to the outlet using 10mm cable. I have just looked at the cooker manual and it says the connection to the cooker should be min 2.5mm^2 and max 6mm^2. Is it okay to use the 10mm cable I have left or will this damage the cooker. The power rating for the cooker is 7.1kw.

Fine, just make sure the cooker terminals can take 10mm sq cable ends.

Many thanks Chri5.
I just wanted to be sure from a safety point.
If the 10mm cable does not fit I will get a length of 6mm.
Cheers.
