80% increase in pickpocketing on the tube in London. Guess who's responsible?

There always will be. I’d love to know what they do for a living. I’m guessing they are closely linked with social services. I’ve asked before but of course they never answer......
I think being 'offended on behalf of others' is now some sort of professional career, with specialisms in remoaning and the demise of the working class white male, esp anyone who supports England.

Be some cognitive dissonance going on today, Englands playing (which is clearly racist xenophobia at its worst and must be condemned), but its not Men! its Women, and that is marvellous and wonderful and should be applauded...

Notch however is playing the good cop bad cop thing.
Trying a diffrent approach in trying to turn us. He's from the same department with slight differences

Im just being pragmatic.

If the number of pickpockets has increased, then blame the government and the system. Dont blame immigration.

What workers from the EU dont you want?

NHS staff?
Care assistants?
Waitresses
Hotel workers and hospitality
Fruit pickers

Its all too easy to have an entrenched view rather than think about the detail.

What free movement of people dont you like?

Austerity is the cause of petty crime like this. But the Tories don't want anybody blaming them, so it's back to immigration.

Oh, busses, must update that other thread ...

So. A person pick pockets you! You catch him or her, what do you do.
A, report and get them arrested.
B, buy them a cup of tea and stroke their forehead.
C, Smile and say I understand. Then complain to your local MP.

A B or C?

anyway, why do people still think leaving the EU will stop all immigration? That myth got busted years ago, didn't it?
We will still need immigrant workers and they will be given permission to enter and work here.

3. As has been previously been made clear, in the event of no deal, EU citizens and their family members already resident in the UK by 31 October 2019 will be welcome to stay and we want them to do so. They are part of our community, and part of our country and we welcome the contribution that they make.

5. Once free movement has ended from 31 October 2019, EU citizens and their family members arriving in the UK will be admitted under UK immigration rules and will require permission (leave to enter or remain).

This thread is about choosing D:
D blame the rise of pickpockets on immigration and blame the EU

Or you could choose E:
E blame the UK government that has no border checks and has insufficient police to control the streets.

Which immigrant workers from the EU would you like to stop working here?

The trouble is, its easy to blame the wrong thing. If you drill down through the issue, you find the cause is not where you think it is.

Dont allow yourself to be a Daily Mail sheep. (y)(y)(y)

It's not real England football though, until some lackwits smash up the town square

These are all fair points that slack border control by the UK has made it easy to let in unsavoury characters. Yes there is an issue with EU migration but Brexit is using a sledgehammer to crack open a nut. Within the EU rules currently we could easily deport these men after they serve their sentences and not allow them back in. We could also force anyone who has entered the UK to register what they are doing within 3 months of entering.

The fact successive Governments turned a blind eye to this is not a fault of the EU rules but simply an issue of non implementation.

We are a service led economy that relies on lower capital utilisation - both historic and due to poor policies, so we grow our economy mainly through debt financing and increasing the population (this is a problem faced by all western developed nations) the problem essentially is that we are still trying to use neo liberal ecnomic policies that have run their course - we need a new set of policies to solve the problems we have.

Look at Bojo and Hunt they are simply saying lets just cut more and more taxes - it won't work. It's like saying I have a leak all I need is to use enough tape to seal it even if its still leaking - its simply just doubling down again and again.

You cut taxes and then you have a choice, raise debt or cut services. You do a bit of both. Now it takes time for the effects to filter through but then you see it, less Police on the beat, Police response times falling, NHS waiting lists increasing, fly tipping everywhere, Schools having to close early etc..

This just breaks society.

I think you know me by now. I never blame the innocent law abiding immigrants. I do blame those with ill intent.

But most of all I blame the governments.

I was watching TV last night..
Just after the war when the empire started to flake away. The govement at the time made all people under the cover of our empire British citizens, they could live and work hear. That was 1/4 of the worlds population. Tony Blair did similar.
Is that nuts.
No concideration or thought the impact would have on the lower paid or infrastructure and services.

So again I say I blame the government, not those decent people try to build a better life for their family's

Naturally, we made people British Subjects that were part of the old British Empire - it'd be a bit odd if we stamped our label on all those countries but didn't call the people British. Anyway, I am pretty sure that 1.75 billion people have not arrived since - all those countries we eager to regain their independence and be rid of us, few came running!

With no plan they started turning up.
They had to put them in air raid shelters. Tony Blair:, at least he has their mistakes to learn from. Did he? No!
