Any suggestions of good places to buy? - My mrs is a photographer and she uses these to provide her clients with their photos. Prices seem to have gone from under £3 to over £5 in a few months.

I know you can get cheapo unbranded units, but she needs reasonable quality (e.g. sandisk etc)
She tends to buy 5 and 10 multi-packs, but no reason she couldn't buy in larger volumes as she gets through about 200 a year.

Actually, as she's giving them to her clients, speed and quality isn't so much of an issue. If she's using them in her camera, then speed and quality are paramount, but they are only being used as a transfer medium, nothing more. But the caveat is to make sure they are useable, even if they are slow; she can always supply another one if the client says they have a dud.

Actually the cameras she uses don't seem to care that much, she's not a sports photographer, so can easily work within the buffer limit. Her Canon 5d Mk4 for example will take 16 shots in buffer before the frame rate slows due to write speed. Also most of the speeds quoted on cards are UHS II, which few devices support.

But you'll be amazed how many of her clients contact her a year later, for another copy, because they lost the stick. We try to keep everything for 3-5 years, but with file sizes getting well in to double digits/MB now, its a lot of disk.
