i'm guessing the answer to this.......

can we still get 8mm rad valves where the flow and return connect up to the same valve, on the same side of the rad. (not top and bottom entry (as i've seen before) type, but same valve thru same rad tail)

customer not getting any heat throu the valves...the flow is red hot but does not travel into the rad....

if i cant get new ones (as i'm guessing) then i'll have to re-use them after cleaning/removing the debri.

thx

not if its a twin entry which runs internally the length of the rad, wasier to replace and repipe.

You can still get them apparently, made by Yorkshire I think. The insert may have failed on existing valve. This only needs to extend a short distance into rad (100mm?) and is connected to return pipe.

Yes plumbcentre sell them but if it is just the flow getting hot and not the return then its not insert pipe that has come off, it may be blocked. But you refer to the plural and say no heat through valves which makes me think more than one rad involved in which case there is more than likely a blockage in the manifolds. And don`t discount the flow manifold even though pipes are getting hot as ther may just be enough heat getting past just to reach the rad but not get through it .
