9" Cast iron house year numbers

Hello I have got a set of 9" cast iron house year numbers ie 1 8 7 8 I was just curious if they have a proper name not just metal house numbers???

only these are not on a plaque they are all seperate, there might not be a specific name for them I was just curious, obviously from some of the replies this forum allows children to join up, any grown up building forums you know of?

Seems they are just called house numbers , or at best singles or flats.

I just noticed I didnt put that they were showing the year ie 1787 so I know they are old which I why I thought they might have a specific name

Then again, they could be off two or more houses.

17 and 88, - 1, 7 and 88 - 7, 8, and 18 or any other combination you care to make.

no they are all from the same house and are about 1850

I cant remember the exact numbers but they have the kite mark on the bakc which dates them around 1850
