I have toilet that needs replacing as it has a crack in it

It is currently plumbed into a cast iron branch off of a cast iron soil pipe and seems to be sealed in with putty

Can anyone advise how best to remove this toilet and can it be replaced with a regular toilet and connected with a push fit pan connector?

Would share photos but cant work out how, help here would also be appreciated

Thanks in advance

The soil pipe may need to be cut, depending on heights of the new pan spigot and the soil pipe. As long as you get them lined up then a bent pan connector would normally be used.

Careful chip around the pan spigot inside the cast iron socket, remove the pan, clean the cast iron socket and the inside of the cast iron pipe.

Use a bend pan connector such as this, and insert into the cast iron pipe, well past it socket. Lined up and secure the pan, you will need a new flush pipe and internal cone as the pan will be slight forward.

Flush and test for leak, then fill the gap inside cast iron socket with putty.

Hope this help.
Daniel.
