Hi, my 1st post....would appreciate some help please.

I have an old A1 Omicron 600 panel (working fine) and have just bought a Pyronix Deltabell E to replace the old bell box because it looks old and shabby and has no strobe.

I have the manuals for both, which I'll attempt to add to this post, but I'm not sure about the connections between panel and new bell box. Any help appreciated.

The panel terminals aren't too clear from the photo of the control panel, however I'd strongly recommend you change the panel while you're at it. Those A1 panels were not fantastic when they were new, and I reckon it's getting on for 25 years old (battery looks to be a similar age, given the spares pack is taped to the front of it) A scantronic 9448 with a new 2.1ah battery will set you back about £45 or so, will probably take your average DIYer about 3 hours to change over. Well worth the investment.

Thanks for your reply and advice Scott. You're spot on with the age of the alarm system - it was installed when the house was built in the early 90s. I replaced the battery (Toolstation) a couple of years ago when it swelled up and cracked, and I stuck the fuses and links back on the new battery.

I'll have a think about changing the panel, but it works fine so not sure. I've seen the bad reputation for these systems on this forum, but I guess I'm lucky and have a good one. So I'd still be interested if someone can translate the manuals and advise how to connect the Deltabell.

No worries.

Try the following:

Panel - Deltabell

Bell + to 12v (red wire)
SCB 0 to 0v (green wire)
Bell - to Bell (black wire)
Strobe - to Stb (not currently connected, but try the blue wire)
SCB RT to T (white wire)

On the Deltabell, link the other T terminal to 0v. Don't forget to enable the onboard battery in the bell box. The panel will probably sound internally when you remove the cover to the old box. Get someone to put the code in whilst you do that. You may also want to remove the red wire at the panel before removing the old box, reconnect when you're finished and it should avoid any inadvertent blowing of fuses or sounding of the new bell box.

Many thanks. I'll try that at the weekend and report back.
