Above ground drop wire closure - attach to wall?

As per the title really - is there a "proper" way to attach an above ground drop wire closure (the type like a black plastic sausage) to the wall? I've just received one, but short of drilling through the back and compromising the waterproof construction I can't figure it out.

Cable ties, either onto the clamp (curly thing) if there's enough slack, or using small nails (the type from a hammer in cleat) nail a couple of thick cable ties to the wall and clamp it with those. That's how i do it.
 
put it horizontally against the wall and hammer a cable clip onto the cable 2 inches either side of it.

if you mount them vertically they let water in.

as the other guy said, tie straps are a good shout to help it stay closed.
