hi can u tell me how i can get this 2 go off my dash as they wont pass my mot untill that is off

Each wheel has its own individual ABS sensor. This basically tells the ABS system if the wheel is turning or not.
The problem is to diagnose which wheel has the fault.....sometimes the wires get cut by stones, and this is easy to tell.
However, this fault really needs to be rectified by a garage with suitable ABS diagnostic equipment...they will identify the fault, replace the sensor and turn the light off for you.
On rare occasions the fault lies within the ABS master control...another kettle of fish entirely!

The ABS sensor light not going out, indicates, one or more faulty sensors, these are located near each wheel (usually) and detect the rotation, or none rotation of the wheel, they detect the movement of the rotors, one of these sensors have failed.
A little more information on type of car might be a help.

i have had new sensors put on but light staying on and they wont pass mot with it on

In which case the fault could be in the ABS module...tread carefully as these can be very pricy.
Hope the cars not a Beemer.....

it also stays on for other abs related faults, you need to get the fault codes read as stated as it could be a number of things, until then your ****ing in the wind

1. Dirt on the rotor that the sensor look at to see if the wheel is turning.
Take each sensor off and clean with an airline.
2. Bad connection between the sensors and the wiring loom. Cause by
corrosion in the connection plugs.

Good luck
