Hi all,

Had a right mare with a 2" ABS run today. Was replacing a sweeping T that was installed the wrong way  , so cut out before and after, 2 straight connectors and a new T (with a rodding eye installed just above for good measure :P ).

Anyway I couldn't get ANY give in either direction to get a decent connection on the fittings. (to the left the run had an elbow in the the wall, to the right the pipe went through a solid wall). I managed to force it in, in the end, at the expense of a snapped waste which also had to be replaced.

I know you can get 4" slip couplings for PVC but was wondering if theres an equivalant for smaller waste pipes, or any top tips for replacing connections in rigid pipework!

Cheers :)

aye, i have a few on the van, if only they did them in white! ....

You will need one of these:

And one of these:

Having used those two to create a slip coupler, you'll need to use plenty of glue to give you time to slide it on one pipe, align the two then back over the other before it sets, but it should do the job. A bit of rag will help with wiping off excess glue afterwards.

Simples

:o :o :o :o :o

I have these things!! Will give it a go and report back!

Cheers!

Pain in the ass when its 4" soil.

Al

That is what a wee 1/4" wood chisel is for (or an old flat screwdriver) Same with any other fitting. I'd have it done and fitted before you got to the van. You'll never make money if you fk about unless you are on a rate
