Will a cars brakes function ok without ABS,thank you

if the car was manufactured with abs then no it could be dangerous to use if it isnt functioning properly or not working at all

Yes they will, but without the 'cadence breaking' and could lull you into a false sense of security.

Also it will not pass the MOT if ABS is fitted and not working.

As I said, the brakes will work. However, the ABS will not.
