Accenta alarm will not set

My sister has recently moved in to a new house and was given the alarm code. The code does look correct as the numbers included in the code are the most worn on the keypad. I have tried however to set it by entering the code and nothing happens. I've also tried to enter the default engineer code (9999) and go in to reset the code which seemed to go through ok, but when I enter the code code it still doesn't set

Is there a way to reset the system to factory defaults?

Not sure why your looking for a reset code.
correct the most used numbers on the pad would probably be the code, have you tried different combinations of the code?

do you have a tamper light on the panel or any other lights lit ?

No tampler light on there, although I have managed to reset the code by going into the engineer mode again. Thanks for the help
