Hi,

Recently, while installing a laminate floor, I inadvertently damaged an alarm cable.

The details of how it was damaged are extensive, so I will refrain from elaborating further.

I repaired the cable with connectors, but all zones light up on the keypad when I set the system. If I disconnect the cables, the issue persists except for the affected zone that doesn’t show.

Am I overlooking anything?

I’ve also noticed that removing any detector covers does not activate the Tamper.

Any advice is welcome.

Would the keypad still operate? I had a fast blow fuse blow on my alarm some years ago and nothing would operate.

Separate fuse ….do your pirs / detectors light up when you pass them ? If not fuse blown

No that don't, that sounds like it, I'll try that tomorrow thanks sparkymarka

Thanks sparkymarka, the fuse had indeed blown, all working and confirmed with walk test.
