Accenta G4 Alarm battery change problems

We brought a new battery as our alarm started going off when power was off.
We turned the power off and entered code when alarm started, then we changed battery and replaced cover and put power back on but the siren was still going on the external box. We couldn't get it to stop so have put the old battery back in till we find out what we are doing wrong, Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

the external bell fires when no power supplied from the panel to, or when the device is activated.

so if I understand this correctly, old battery no bell activation, new battery alarm activates?

hi thanks for replying the problem is we are trying to change the battery but when we put the new battery in the internal alarm still keeps going off we couldnt stop it until we put the old battery back in are we doing something wrong i turned the electric of first before taking the battery
