Hi all,

Coming toward the end of a full house renovation which included the addition of a front porch. Rendering was priced as part of the package and SWS Envirowall Flexisil was used.

The front was top coated just over a week ago and I feel it looks patchy and that the finish is poor. There is also a horizontal line on the newly built porch.

I would appreciate input from those with experience:

Is this acceptable?
What is the cause of the patchy areas?
Can the appearance be improved and what would this involve?

thanks

The render depth has to match the grain size, that could be a cause of patchiness in the appearance. But it looks like a good smooth finish. Do you have any pics of the insulation underneath?

There’s no insulation beneath. Basecoat was applied to existing and new block / brickwork.

I’ve circled some of the areas I’m referering to. It does appear flat (other than the horizontal line on the porch) but patchy in terms of texture or colour or both
