Hi all.
Between two houses we have a shared driveway whereby we have two access wooden doors, one attached to each side of the property. They were painted white and opened independently. My door was okay but my neighbours door had broken wood.
My next door neighbour has decided to change both doors at his cost and paint both to the colour of his choice. In addition to this he has added a strip in the middle and screwed it to his side. Whilst my door opens independently, he now has to open my side to open his side. It wasnt like this before and I'm not happy about it because he never locks it properly and now he has to open my side everytime.
I spoke to him and he said I'm being ungrateful when he paid for it and complaining for no reason and said that's how its going to be. I think he should have consulted us and said that he is changing the door (if he spoke to me I would have even paid for my half) but he decided to just crack on.
Am I in the wrong? What can I do about it? As surely the door attached to my property is mine and he shouldn't have changed it without consent?
