So, I'd like to sand/repaint my fascias / soffits. The front of the house doesn't seem so bad - I just need a ladder to get to it, but the back of the house is a different story. The soffits are above a lean-to conservatory that's against my neighbour's house on one side, and the other neighbour's conservatory on the other (image below). Just wondering how best to deal with this, or if I should just give up and start looking for quotes to get someone in to do it.

take out some of the capping screws holding the the conservatory roof glazing bars -put a sheet of plywood on the roof, put longer screws back.

then fit 2 x 2 batten as a back stop for your ladder.

Yeah, I was thinking about creating some plywood contraption, though there don't appear to be any capping screws that I can see.. unless they're under the leading? Sorry if I'm missing something stupid, I've not played around with a conservatory before and I'm not really sure what's holding it all together haha
