Hi all,

A while back I tinkered around with my professionally fitted Texecom Premier Elite 24 using Wintex to change the configuration so when we part arm the alarm, the living room is omitted to avoid my cat setting of the alarm at night. Everything was a success and was working fine. We're currently selling our house so I [regrettably] decided to restore the configuration for the new owners and I've somehow completely messed it up. I reinstalled Wintex, downloaded the alarm configuration using SmartCOM, made the desired changes to the zone and pushed the config back. I was just thinking to myself how easy the process was and then when I went down to check - it seems like the entire alarm has been factory reset. Luckily I saved all the configuration so it's all local on my PC. As soon as I tried to reconnect, Wintex was complaining that the engineer code was wrong as it has been reset to the factory value of 1234. On the panel itself it shows "System Alerts!" and when I enter 1234, it simply states no user has been setup. Wintex seems to think all the local configuration has been pushed to the panel, so not sure what's gone wrong.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The smart com connection to wintex?

When you entered the default engineers code on the panels keypad did you type it in once, twice or…..

When system alerts is showing, type code once will show the alerts, you need to enter the code again before it finishes to take you into the menus
