Any ideas why buetooth dongle won't work.
I've downloaded drivers from acer and installed software that came with the dongle.
System is xp media center with sp2.

the acer drivers are for an internal installed bluetooth adaptor that may or may not be installed in your acer not a dongle, you need to install the manufacturers drivers of the dongle only.

the dongle worked fine on my desktop - xp home sp2 - by just installing the dongle software.
Tried to do the same on the laptop - no go. Downloaded the acer stuff in desperation. And have uninstalled etc a number of times.
I've looked around on the net and it seems others have same problem with acer laptops

I've got a seperate bluetooth dongle and the software worked first time on my acer so perhaps you may have a problem with your install? what software is it is it blue soleil?

Done it, does'nt seem to work, but when I tel the mobile to send something to laptop it works - that'll do me.
