Hi,

I've bought a glass splashback as we've got a gas hob and I've bought an acrylic splashback to fit either side of the glass one.

My query is...

It says to leave an expansion gap around the glass splashback. This is fine for top and bottom but it will look daft if I leave one at the sides?

Anyone had any experience on a combination of using glass and acrylic?

Thanks

Acrylic expands significantly more than glass. How wide are the acrylic panels?
Install them when it's hot. Then they will only contract.

You should allow for them to enlarge/shrink by a couple of mm.
