Acutest

Hi Yes i have used them for calibrating my PAT tester (seaward Europa +) and i had great service. They arranged pick up and delivery at very reasonable costs. I will use them again when my megger needs to be done. Turn around was 5 working days

There charge rates were the best i could find at the time

They also trade(or traded) under the name WIS which i think was Wholesale Instrument Supplies

Cheers for that STI, was wondering whether to send my MFT in for calibration. Megger are charging over 100 quid for calbration and postage.

Yes I had the same sort of differential on the seaward Acutest charged £51 inc VAT. The first time it included pickup and return i think the second time i paid return they picked up at no extra charge.

It sounds a fair price, I will be contacting them.
Thank you very much for input, it is much appreciated, I'll tell you how it goes!

Accutest tested and calibrated all our instruments and commisioning gear up until a couple of years ago when my Company decided to go down the "cost" route....There is no comparison, Accutest are way above any other firm we have used for both service and quality. We now will only send our gear to accutest....

I have managed to get a price of them,
it's £86+Vat that includes delivery charges, they test the meter and all the leads.

still quite pricey :(

i'm sure someone on here had it done for £20 at a trade fair or something :o

I think megger sort out the issue with 3-lead EFLI testing tripping 6A rcbo's if they do the calibration?

Yep still a bit steep.
I have in the past gone to the local CEF on calbration days(£35) but they damaged the thing and I needed to send it of to megger for repairs.

If its not too late i just had a mail from Test4less offering 17th edition MFT calibration for £65 I assume plus VAT and not sure on delivery. Might be worth a call.

Just checked its plus VAT and 4.95 for collection, return is free

I got the same email, works out to be about £77. + P&P
I contacted them last week about it, sure they quoted me more!
I also got a voicemail from acutest asking if the price was ccompetitiveenough, so could be a bit of arm twisting to be done
