I have used a Kewtech loop tester at the last place and it was ok just a direct copy of a Robin tester only it had a grey case.

Kewtech market the Kyoritsu-manufactured kit, which was formerly branded Robin. They have some excellent new products - for example the KT64 multifunction tester - and should be viewed as a major contender in the test equipment market.

Ask for Phil or Chris, explain what you want and they'll point you in the right direction.

cheers chaps
will be purchasing various equipment in the next few days and will most likely stick with Kewtech...

you will find that it is near identical to fluke/robin but it doesn't have "D lock" and trips rcd's on loop test

But, moving into the present century, Kewtech have their own proprietary no-trip technique, which they dub ATT (Anti Trip Technology). They also market a huge range of equipment and not just the former Robin boxes to which you refer.

Have a look: http://www.kewtechcorp.com/products.htm

Kewtech was formed by the guys employed by Robin to develop their kit. They fell out with management, and set up on their own, but couldn't take certain of the patented designs - D-LOK being one of them.

To be honest, it is dated kit these days, even with their own 'ATT'
