add switch to network

Hi, If I run a cable from my router and add a switch to it will the stuff I add to the switch be at full network speed (it is all gigabit standard equipment) or will it divide down by how many things are added to the switch.
Its for my TV, DVD, Games console, Wirelss AP

If you're talking about impacting internet speed, there will be no problem. It will all bottleneck when it hits the slower broadband speed.

If you had an obscene internet connection faster than your LANs gigabit (or even 10/100), then you would be limited by your LAN. In reality, you are likely going to have no more than 80M, so all good.
