After many months of our current thermostat just shutting off intermittently for no apparent reason, I finally got around to calling up Honeywell and telling them I needed to replace the thermostat and could they help. They said sure - here are some Honeywell installer sin your area. When the last one wanted to charge me £250 to install the new thermostat, I started doing some digging and discovered this should be an easy-peasy job. I seem to be wrong.
I ordered one replacement from Amazon - it came and I could not get the thing to go into Continuous mode. I follow the directions - even followed a Youtube video but when I get to install mode and try to hit the down arrow to go to 'continuous' nothing happens. I thought it was a problem with the thermo so I returned it.
Ordered another - and wouldn't you know - it's doing the same thing. So what am I doing wrong? When I get to install 'INST' it shows the open spanner - but I didn't think that was a problem. Is it? How can I get this thing to go to continuous so I can pair it with the receiver?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
