I’m OK with home DIY but I’ve not done this before so would like to check. I wish to add an additional light fitting to an existing circuit, to be operated an existing switch. IE, where currently one light comes on when you flick the switch, I would like tow (or three) to come on instead.

Is there any reason why I cannot take the feed from the existing junction box, connecting to the neutral and switch live terminals to supply the new fittings? This would in effect mirror the feed to the existing light. If this isn’t OK/won’t work, why???? I can’t see any reason why this won’t be OK.
Obviously I will also earth everything as appropriate.

Thanks in advance.
