I have a garage conversion and would like to install a radiator in there.
The house has a 30kW Main Eco combi boiler fitted in the kitchen. There are 22mm flow and return pipes running the length of the house with all of the rads teeing into them in 15mm.
The easiest way I can see to connect into the system would be by teeing into the 22mm F&R pipes under the upstairs landing, and then run the new pipework under the bedroom floorboards down into the garage, which is how the electrics for the garage were routed and I could share the existing access point in the garage wall.
My question is, would it be best to tee in with 15 or 22mm pipe? Obviously I would be dropping 22mm down to 15mm just before it connects to the radiator. I estimate the run length would need to be around 7 or 8 metres.
