We're joining up the 2 halves of our front sloping garden that has a path down the middle.
There is a retaining wall for each section that we now want to link up. (the breeze blocks are fronted by stone which we're hoping to match up). It comes to about 70cm high and we're hoping to use the current slabs from the path as foundation.
How do we best link current wall to the new?
Thanks, Jane

To link a new section of wall, to an existing section of wall, the usual way to key it in. Where it a brick wall - is to remove what will be a half brick every second horizontal course. That would then allow every second course of the new part, to key into / overlap into the old part of the wall.

You would try to arrange the blocks, so that there are no vertical joints directly one over the other, so verticals are offset -joints are weaker than blocks or bricks.
