Adding a spur to a socket at my mums, but she has no Supp bonding. Am I am correct in saying that I dont need to carry this out, as the job I'm doing is not related to the bathroom ?

I thought that before any electrical work is under taken in a domestic property, the electrician must ensure that all bonding is up to BS7671 standard. But I could be wrong ?!?

You're correct.
If the job you're undertaking isn't in the bathroom then you don't need to install supplementary bonding as it's not applicable to the job you're doing.
If you were carrying work out in the bathroom then you would have to check for an install supplementary bonding as required.
Main earth and main equipotential bonding is another matter though. These must be in place.

guess Im wrong then, I thought that under Part P before you carryout any domestic work you must first check that the bonding is up to bs7671 standards

By all means, make a note on your certificate regarding the lack of supplementary bonding but that's as far as you need to go.
How many bathrooms lack supplementary bonding? I guess its a very high percentage. Imagine having to install supplementary bonding just because you've installed an extra socket behind the living room TV!!
As I said, lack of a main earthing conductor and main equipotential bonding conductor(s) are a totally different matter.
