ADDING AN EXTENSION ALARM

Hi all,i have a Yale SAA5015 shed alarm and i am trying to connect an extension siren.
The output is a jack giving out 3.5v.I've tried a few 3v sirens but none of them work.
Any ideas?

Don’t do Yale, you saying the Yale supports an extension siren, don’t Yale do one specifically?

The Yale extension alarm is quite expensive at 45 quid.
I've tried several different 3 volt sounders to no avail.
I can't understand if the jack sockets giving out 3.2 volts
why won't it power a 3 volt sounder.

the manual should tell you what you need to find something that is compatible, i see there is a cable, but dont know what communication method is for the device, thought Yales were pretty much wireless.

Probably because that sounder requires batteries to work …it’s not just a sounder / speaker ….

I'm connecting the extension jack socket to the battery terminals of the 3v sounder.
Polarity is correct.
Still can't understand if the jacks giving out 3.2v why no go?

Look at the manuals of the panel and of the sounder.

No idea how this connects up so without manuals specifications of the yell sounder I don’t think your going to get much further.

It’s not a sounder output ! looking at your device ….its an output to link to a sounder unit that needs batteries to make that unit ring
