Adding an inhibitor

I am going to drain off my Vaillant eco tech plus 824 boiler so that I can repressurise the expansion vessel. Could anyone advise will there be enough water coming out so that I will need to add an inhibitor. If I do need to add it and considering the boiler will be empty, what will be the best way of getting the inhibitor in.
