i bought a new house which had 3 aerial sockets points. i paid for a workman to fit an aerial in my loft but he said he could only find 2 cables up there. i was recently up in loft and have found the third cable. what do you suggest i use to connect it to the aerial?

How are the other 2 cables connected to the aerial?

If they are just twisted together and pushed into the aerial connection box then you need to find a better aerial installer and clean up the muck from his horse

Something like this Clicky would do the trick.

Take one lead from the aerial into the splitter and connect the other downleads to the outputs using screw on F connectors

How to connect F Connectors

Twisting together multiple coax cables can cause problems with ghosting and will drop the signal level
