)you should run it in 10mm to allow for any future expansion with a 40A MCB and 30ma RCD Protection,You possibly could get away with 6mm cable but it depends on length and route of run so best stick with 10mm. You may have to get a seperate wee consumer unit ( 2 Way ) if you dont have a modern fuseboard with RCD protection or have ran out of spare ways
