Hi,

I'm trying to add a radiator to our central heating system.

The nearest pipework to connect to is in the airing cupboard on the landing.

There is a few pipes there but from what I can make out the one arrowed red is ch flow (run heating and that's the only one that got hot quick).

The only thing I'm not sure on is the return, it appears my plumber has connected up a kitchen rad to the flow using plastic I supplied and then return is connected to the coil of the hot water cylinder (blue arrows)

Can I use the same 90 degree elbows, change them to 15mm tee's and run a rad off that?

Whatever you're trying to do, all the rad return pipes must be commoned before joining the cylinder return. Otherwise you'll get unwanted rad heating when HW is called. That's not the case here, as there must be rad returns coming in further along the pipe. Needs changing, the connection could be blanked off, but can't see from here how the return can be run to an acceptable point.
