Adding Repository In Ubuntu

Hi guys!

More odd questions...

I am trying to add a command using Terminal in Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narwhal).

I cannot run DVD's, so have gone to: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu to find the repository I need.

Trouble is, I cannot cut and paste. Is there another way to copy & enter the text without having to type it in manually?

You can paste by middle clicking in the terminal.

I did bother to type it all in, only for it to be rejected. Could I find the typo???

Press your mouse wheel. It used to just be a third button.

Hmm. El cheapo mouse has no wheel. But by clicking both L & R buttons simulcastaneously, it works!!

Having done that, I still can't get the thing to run DVD's.....

Nor can I install dansguardian to stop the kids from watching p*rn.....

Don't laugh, the 8 yo put boobies into Google and he wasn't looking for the feathered kind of bird...

Now I am a little frustrated with OS software.

Copy = Ctrl + C (Ctrl is the key down the bottom left)
Paste = Ctrl + V

BUT, in the terminal it becomes Shift + Ctrl +C (or V) because Ctrl+C does something else (kills a running programme)

You actually don't need the command line. You can use the Synaptic Package Manager which is graphical. Within the settings are options to add repositories.

I believe you'll find that is not standard. And SIGINT is neither SIGTERM nor SIGKILL.
