I have led lights by the plinth on my kitchen cabinets. They are powered by a dc12v 2a power supply connected to a socket under the kitchen.
My problem is that when the plinths are put on the kitchen the power socket is behind them so no way to turn on or off.
Is there a way that i can add a switch between the power supply and socket that i can locate to a more convenient position?

Sockets should not be inaccessible, and under kitchen units behind plinths sounds pretty inaccessible to me.

You could put the socket on a switched FCU, but that would not fix the accessibility problem.

You need to move the socket to somewhere else, or replace the wall-wart PSU with one with a trailing lead that can be wired into an (accessible) FCU.
