Hi all,
I have a bathroom with no windows or other form of ventilation. The extractor fan has suddenly stopped working. What could be the cause of this? I know nothing about fans or electrics - but before getting an electrician out I just wanted to check that theres nothing obvious that I could take a look at.
Thanks

It may be all clogged up/
How long since you took the cover off and Hoovered it out?

More likely the bearings have seized up. They are lubricated "for life" but they never say if its the life span of an elephant, or the life span of a butterfly.

First thing is to use a proper voltage tester and make sure there is voltage at the connectyion terminals. If its all there then a new fan is the best method.
