Hi can anyone recommend which type of adhesive is required for the Mosaic Travertine wall tiles, which come in sheets attached to netting? Will any standard wall tile adhesive do or will I need something specific? Also am I better off using a separate adhesive and grouting for this type of tile?

Thanks in advance.

I would go for a white powdered adhesive such as BAL "Mosaic Fix" this is very white so if a bit squeezes between the tiles it won't show.

Use a small 3-4mm notch trowel.

Seal the stone once fixed with one of the Lithofin products then grout with a powdered grout either white of off white looks good with travatine.

Thanks Jason - can you tell me if this BAL Mosaic fix is available from B&Q, and if it will stick mosaics that come attached to that netting stuff? Cheers again! :D

Cheers Moz, I'll pick some up at my local Topps Tiles. :) I've noticed that these tiles are quite thick so are there suitable beading strips available for use around window edges, to allow for Travertine tile thickness?

Travatine usually looks wrong with plastic trim, just let one edge show, hopefully one will be polished.

Thanks Jason, I'll check if the edges are polished or not. As I have alot of stainless steel in the kitchen I was thinking of using a similar metallic edging strip, but will take your comments on board, and see how it looks. :)
