We are in the middle of de-snagging the first phase of our new college and I have been asked to re-set one of the cubicle doors as the lock is a bit hard to engage, it's a simple slide plate lock into a surface mounted pocket. The door hinges are dog legged and the rise and fall type screwed to the frame and front face of the door, (see pic below). On the inner face at near the top and bottom there is a type of screw, (see second pic), which unscrews but has no effect on the hinge.

Any ideas how to adjust the door, (it seems to have a twist in it so if you push the top the bolt slides home easily), or does the hinge have to be re-positioned?

Try slackening the screws and tapping the hinge in the direction you want it to go. I suspect those are machine screws, which screw into a movable, but captive threaded plate in the partition.

Thanks Harry. When standing inside the cubicle, with the hinges on the right, I need the top of the door to go forward a few mm.
I'll give it a go when I go back to work on Monday. I might take one screw out to see if it's a machined one like you say.
