Hi, can anybody very kindly advise?
Our back door has decided to become a bit lobsided with result that there is a draught at the top right.
The door needs adjusting to pull itself back up.
I've found these grub screws on the hinges. Are they for adjusting, if so how exactly?
Cheers

They hold the hinge pin in place. Has then hinge dropped or become loose? Or has the frame distorted ? You may need to remove the beading and reshim the glass. This isn't really a DIY disaster and you should have posted in the Doors and Windows section .

Check that the door has drooped from its hinge side. If this is so the glass panel needs "heeling and toeing" . Because the glass is heavy and rigid its position will determine the shape of the door. So half open the door and jam some bits of softwood under it to hold it tight. Lever out the trim pieces that hold the glass in place. HOLD THE GLASS in place ( :) ). A wife or a bit of 4 " X 2" will do. Now inspect where the packing pieces are. They must be tight at the top opposite the hinges and at the bottom next to the hinges. So now, might be a good time to remove the glass to a safe place. Now jack up your soft wood so the door is square or even a couple of mm higher on the lock side. - extra bits of hardboard might do. Depending on what you have found in the way of packing, you might need some more because as well as keeping the diagonal tight you need a few more to keep the glass squarish to the frame. So insert your packers at the bottom and side hinge side, put the glass back and put the top lock side and the side. make sure these are tight. Put in extra packers just to square up the glass. Now remove your soft wood and close the door, put trims back in. In 95% of cases the job is done.
If you want to fiddle with the hinges, the screws you can see are locking screws loosen them the use a screwdriver upwards under the hinge pin and, rotating it will move the hinge point around, so moving the door. They do not move the door very much (+-2mm?) Remember that all three might need tweaking unless you want to bend the door.

Yes, uPVC hinges are often adjusted using hex keys or grub screws, but it depends on the design. Some adjustments use cams for lateral movement, others use straight screw movement for vertical adjustment.

Use small adjustments and try out the door after each adjustment to see if it is going in the right or wrong direction.

There are youtube vids on this if you Google adjusting upvc door hinges

Otherwise, common sense and trial and error will allow you to sort it out.

The screws are to keep the hinge pins in line, i.e. to make up for in/out distortion. So if the door seal is OK at the top, near the hinges, but is away at the bottom, they can correct for this. They will not correct a droopy door.
