Hi,

I have been asked to see if I can reduce the gap on only the hinge side of the window shown in the images.

I have looked at previous posts which leads me to believe that I need to replace the hinges or the windows. Is this correct, should I replace them? Or should I attempt to free them so they move correctly?

Also the gap in the front uPVC door is also large can I just adjust the lock keeps so that the door will seal better or maybe the hinges can be adjust also. Is this correct?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Window:
Yes will probably need new hinges but before you do it try cleaning and lubricating the hinges (including a blob of grease in the corner tabs), Open and close the window a few times to see if it improves.

Door:
There are many adjustments here depending on where the gaps are.
The adjuster you have exposed in your pic (Allen key head) is an oval shaped cam that will move the door a few mm in every direction.

Thanks for you help. As I work alone it is good to know that I have some virtual brains to pick.
