Anyone started getting these when they come to the site? Random ads for video games etc?

I appreciate the site needs to raise income from ads, but these are very intrusive and off putting.

If you are logged in (and remain logged in), there should be no pop ups. Ads are intentionally kept to a minimum for logged in members.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I logged out and in as recommended, which appeared to initially work. However, after accessing the site again today (still logged in) I had a pop up add for Aviva.

I am using an iphone 15 if it helps

Go to Settings > Apps > Safari. Turn Block Pop-ups on or off. Turn Fraudulent Website Warning on or off... Can you not put persistent ad's on an ignore list?

Are you going directly into the forum? or via the homepage?

Annoyingly the logo/link at the top of the page always takes you to the homepage and not to the forum.

That'll be why then; outside of the forum there is no distinction between registered and non-registered members (as that's not possible - different systems etc). Fair point about navigating back to the forum home. There is a link below the logo bar, but that only tends to take you back up one level. I'll make a note of the suggestion for the future.

@DIYnot Do something about these new accounts who keep reacting to my posts.

They have been reacting to other posts by other people too on this same subforum.

Either they like me or just want attention. Or both.

I don’t think they are bots, but if they are, surely, you needed to prevent the use of bots ages ago?

However, you don’t bother.
