Advice for drilling through a door jamb

What reassured me about buying in to the LXT "ecosystem" was the availability of third-party LXT batteries [by the hundred]. So even if Makita get bored of making LXT batteries, I'll still be able to buy them from someone else. Since then I've found third-party LXT tools as well. The only Parkside stuff on AliExpress appears to be "genuine", given the prices.

I bought a Makita drill with 3x batteries, with light and occasional DIY use, the batteries survived just 2 years

I have never owned any Makita battery powered products, but you have been extremely unlucky.
