Advice / Multi-finish over bonding?

Hi,

We're re-fitting our kitchen and when we removed the tiles it took off the plasterboard which was dot and dabbed onto the walls behind them.

At this point the holes have been filled with a bonding agent (on advice from a plasterer who told us it would be fine to tile over)

I've since read on this forum that is not a great idea and the bonding should be plastered over with multi-finish.

Does the bonding need to be sealed with PVA or anything before plastering?

Also I'm thinking about doing the plastering myself as it's only a small area and as it's going to be tiled over it shouldn't matter if it's not perfect.

Advice please?

dont plaster it at all. what you have already is a better surface.

As for the patching with bonding. let it dry properly (2 weeks depending on how much you have used) and then prime the whole lot with acrylic bonding agent (not PVA!). then tile as normal with a notched trowel
