Yea gotta admit you got me on the 1920s thing, I stand by everything else though, even then BC may well be happy with some T&G. The door closers are a major pain in the ass so if they can be avoided in any way that can big advantage IMO.

Thanks for all the replies. Celings have been overboarded. 22mm Chipboard down at the moment over suspended floor.
Approved drawings contain details of new stairwell and fire door spec that I can ask BC to come out and have a look at.

Don't see what difference that makes Freddy. The rules were the same in 2002 as they are now so if the designer got it right then it's still right now.
