Advice on adhesive

Hi
I am about to tile my bathroom walls and floor. The floor will have porcelain tiles and the walls will have ceramics. I did plan to use 12mm wbp ply for boarding out but have looked into using 6 mm tile backer board so hoping for some advice about this. Also which adhesive (type & brand)to use for floor.

For the walls I will be tiling inside a shower quadrant which I will be tanking the area around shower and all walls will be freshly plastered.
Do I need to prime walls with anything prior to fixing tiles and which adhesive is best for the job. Wall tiles measure 250mm x 400mm

I would prime both the walls and the floors.
I am a big bal rapidset fan and will be suitable for both floor and walls.

What should I prime them with?
Also is the adhesive you recommend in powder form and cement based. Would also like some advice on grout?
