hi there im new to this site and im after advice on a unvented cylinder or a thermal store that could supply 12 showers at my local rugby team ,or anything thats up 2 the job, it has to be electric as there s no gas :D :D many thanks.

are you depending on the mains water pressure to run twelve showers or are there break tanks/pumps ?

must have some bleedin big incoming supply

we were just wondering if it could be done with an accumilator or if there was something new on the market but it looks like theres not and will have to use breaker tanks and pumps

not to mention a mother of a cylinder(s). With the reheat time of electric you may have to store as much water as you'll need in one go. Either that or have some serious electric feeding in.

if you restrict the showers to 10 lpm thats 120 lpm , with a mix of 7 hot and 3 cold, so for a ten minute shower you would need to store 840 of hot water, 3x300 litre unvented cylinders should it, hope you got plenty of space what with the pump and break tanks. (and deep pockets)

You may be able to cut down on water use quite considerably by using marine shower heads, which have a push-to-spray trigger on them. Obtainable from marine chandlery stores.

Is there any other alternative ways / systems that could be used other than break tanks / pumps that could cope with demand of hot water.

would 2 x 500 l direct unvented cyinders and a accumilator with non concussive showers cope ?

have you worked out by how many people and how often the showers are going to be used, ?

The in showers are being installed at the local rugby team, after each match there will be at least 30 men showering one after each other and will probably be used by the team 3 x a week at most

I think its being unrealistic to run 12 showers at the same time, the stored water would be need to be a little on the large side, would it be possible to cut the showers down to 6 ?
