We had a loft conversion 2 years ago and as part of the regs we had to change all doors leading off the landing/hallway to fire doors. These are obviously much heavier than the original doors and we have 4 young kids who slam them at times.
We now have huge cracks in the wall behind 2 of the doors and one the plaster has dropped off. These walls were all replastered about 5 years ago and newly decorated after the loft conversion so this is quite annoying.
What would people suggest is the best way to deal with this? We want it to look nice but we aren't sure whether to fill or get a plasterer out to patch. We are also worried this will happen all over again.
