I'm wanting to use teak oil to protect an ask breakfast bar. Is there good and bad brands as there seems to be a lot of price differences?

Any advice on application/amount of coats etc?

Thanks

teak oil is generally used on outside projects but I can't see why it cant be used any where, I use furniture oil
the first coat will soak in so you can get a fair bit on let it go off nib it off then another coat but thinner and put it on with a cotton rag and work it in then lay it off, repeat about six times and you'll get a bullet proof finish that will take as much heat and water as you dare
so far as brands go ,Iwould always stay from any DIY product, use a trade decorators outlet some trade stores have good technical help lines
Old cotton rag's soaked in oil, can spontaneously combust
