Please can you help me with what are probably 2 basic questions:
Re: Metal Garage door.
This has just been shot blasted and painted in gloss white.
But it seems to show up many imperfections, dents etc that we didn't seem to see before. (Maybe it was damaged when shot blasted or the previous layers of paint were that thick the dents didn't show?)
Can I lightly sand it and repaint in an exterior oil based matt or satin paint? Does anyone recommend a particular paint?

The bench is supposed to be teak.
I coated it in teak oil when 1st bought but then seemed to be saturated - it became "sticky" and "blotchy" in appearance.
To remedy this it was sanded and then woodstain applied. The woodstain is now flaking in places.
If re-sanded down what would be the recomended treatment. Ideally I would like the natural wood colour back but do not want the same problem as before.
