I'm looking at doing an inlay - routed into and external wooden door.
The door is soft wood, and i was hoping to inlay with a dark (hardwood). Once done, am i likely to experience any adverse effects due to expansion? has anyone done/seen this (successfully or otherwise) before?
due to the fact it's outdoors, and two different woods, might expantion be a problem? if so how best to reduce this?
